Fear Is Your Pointing To Going Forward
In most cases when we experience fear it is unnecessary. Yet for most of us it stops us in our tracks from moving forward in creating what we desire.
When you can recognize the fear and still move forward, you grow. You grow in your awareness in recognizing most fears are only the by-product of your perceptions.
This means your self-image, or ego determines your perceptions and creates a fear based thought process to stop you from moving forward.
Once this becomes clear to you, you will be able to recognize these fearful thoughts, and use them as a reminder to move forward through the fear.
As a health practitioner I recognize that many clients are confronted with fearful thoughts of having to change the way they eat. Even though they want to be healthy, and pain free, they are also confronted with thoughts of fear. Where does this fear come from? If you ask them they will many times admit they don’t know what the fearful thought is, just that they feel the fear and anxiety of having to change the way they are eating.
In truth, the fear can be coming from the subconscious thought that “I will have to give up the way I am eating now and give up all the foods that I like”. Can you see that this is the self-image / ego defending it’s identity by holding you back from changing the way it is?
Even though the person desires to be out of pain, the ego does not want to change. If the ego does not want to change a person is going to have to force the change through constant dedication and motivation.
This is the way most folks get things done when it comes to health and fitness. They push themselves to workout, and eat healthy.
Fear should be used just as a sign that the ego is surfacing. Recognized this and see beyond the fearful thoughts. Use them as a pointing to what it is you truly desire.
If an opportunity presents itself and you are feeling fearful even though you don’t know why, embrace the opportunity, and move forward even though the fearful thoughts are there.
I am sure you may have had many times in your life when you were fearful, however you didn’t have any choice in the matter. You had to step forward. I would guess in most if not all of the cases, once you did what was required, you realized there was nothing to be fearful about. In hindsight you also realized that there was nothing to be fearful of in the first place. It was only due to not knowing what it would be like. We call this fear of the unknown.
It is the unknown that the ego does not like. Yet, the ego itself is not real. Can you see that something unreal is causing you to fear moving forward into your desires?
It is just these moments when fear is at its worst that you should step forward. It will feel overwhelming due to the egos need to stop you, and that is why you should move beyond the noise of the ego.
We say face your fears, look them in the eye, and you will see that most often there is nothing there but the unknown.
