The way you think about eating is an identity. The way you think about your job or career is an identity, the way you think about the money you earn is an identity. In fact, don’t they all just get categorized under the identity of whatever you call yourself.
The identity of whatever you call yourself, let’s look at that for a moment or two. Look for your – self and what you know it as. Sooner or later if you look deeply, the awareness will come that all of what you know your identity as is only a bunch of thoughts. All of what you know your identity to be are only thoughts nothing more.
You keep getting caught up in thoughts. Getting caught up in thoughts means you are taking them personally and in doing so they create the experience of meaning something to you. It is in the personal attachment to the meanings that causes an, (your), identity to remain.
Most all of us have the gift of six senses to experience the world of phenomena. Even those who may not have the function of sight or hearing have developed an elevated ability in some of the other senses.
Our senses alone do not have the ability to do anything other than what their function is. That is sight can only take in images, hearing can only take in sound, etc. The senses do not have the ability to label, judge, or create an attachment to or an identity with their functions. This means the eyes as an organ of sight cannot decided whether something is pleasing or scary, joyful or upsetting. This is true for all the senses.
You have all heard about whether a home is energy efficient. You can have someone come to your home and check it for leaks in which the home is leaking heat. You will be told about energy efficient appliances, and ways to create a more energy saving home.
You can imagine room full of furniture, and now you want a new look for this room. You purchase a new couch, end tables, and lights. However, you cannot use the furniture and change the look and feel of the room, until you make space for the new furniture. You must let go of the old furniture.
Another way of pointing to this is you must make space for the new look. So, it is with health, wellness, and abundance in your life experience.
When we become attached to thoughts it means we are identifying with thoughts. It is the ego or person or self-image that is doing this. It means you are taking it personally. Once you take something personally it takes on a burdensome feeling.
The entire material world as we experience it is life itself in form. Even your thoughts are the materialization of life itself.
It is easier to be touched by this when in a place of stillness. Nature for instance has an inherent stillness that draws each one of us into that stillness. There is a vibration that radiates through us as we move through nature. We feel somehow connected and at peace.
Let us share now, the power that you are that is the substance and life of all that you create.
We have spoken about how powerful the mind is and that it is through thoughts we create our life experience. Remember our life experience includes our thoughts, beliefs, feelings, body, and circumstances that occur in our day-to-day experiences.
However the delusional mind has no life unto itself. It cannot exist without you as life itself giving yourself to it.
